DANTOM Systems hardware and software configuration uses a scalable, Windows-based environment using VMWare ESX Infrastructure. The servers parse and process the data files, load database, perform edits, send files to process additional services, send confirmation and reconciliation reports to customers, as well as many other tasks.

The letter data is then merged using Word and creates a AFP (or PCL) print stream that is printed in-house in Wixom, MI.  This location uses Océ PageStream 744 roll printers and Océ 5160 sheet feed printers. The Madison Heights facility uses DP180 cut-sheet printers. The pages are printed in 2500 page blocks (jobs are barcoded) for quality control and tracking throughout the facilities.

The printed jobs are then loaded into our Pitney Bowes Direct mail 10 Series Inserting Systems for folding, inserting, closure, metering and mail tray processing. The mail is then placed on skids, shrink wrapped and trucked (.5 mile) to DANTOM’S Certified Mail Center. Our Presort Facility loads the mail into our Pitney Bowes Olympus II MT Mail Sorter for USPS mail delivery nationwide. The USPS provides DANTOM with plant load pickup on-site daily.
